The Worst Attempt to Compose Something

lying in the warmth of bed
gazing at the blue sky faded by patches of cloud
the window net moved by the welcoming breeze
whispering the secret of making up my day.

listening to the songs
I heard as a child
the same place, the same song but, feelings have changed...
wander aimlessly through the memory lanes
remembering those days...
when dopes were not required to fight depression
when the biggest tension was about finishing the eassy
when heart used to mourn over not being able to fly the kite at the afternoon...

But now
I've grown up
with stubbles on my check
hairs on my chest
cash in my wallet
shattered dreams in my heart

Now I've learnt
you shouldn't say everything u feel like saying
nor do you do everything you want to

I've grown up
Now I can cry without having tears.

Nostalgic and profound. One sure wishes one could do whatever one wants to do.

ya childhood is sweet indeed...but youth can be good to if you choose to look at it like that..and try to enjoy the smallest pleasures of life

this space is 'profound' as someone said above..can call it holy...this poem is a classic - in the literal sense and the post just below it...you know ...they say to have that unique break in your voice you need to lose some battles - feel some pain !!

i dont know about profound..but u have captured in words what mane a person has felt at the back of his mind but failed to express...u have put forward a feeling that flits like some elusive rare species of bird..veiled behind the confusion of growing up too fast in a world that has no value for innocence...and u have pinned it down....

i guess u have captured the essence of nostalgia and maturity...[:)]

great going doi..
